A relic of BMW Motorsport history. This 24x36 piece highlights a very significant race in the legacy of the BMW M Division. 1979 saw the introduction of the BMW M1 Procar Championship. The one make series that highlighted the newly developed M1. A two year Formula 1 support event, the Procar series saw famed drivers from other sanctions, F1, and privateers alike behind the wheel. The top 5 F1 drivers from Friday practice automatically qualified for the race.

This series started here. The 1979 Belgian Grand Prix. This snapshot of history has found its way from the day it started, to the modern era. Drivers Photographed behind the wheel is Clay Regazzoni - an F1 driver participating in the Procar Championship, Ultimately finishing 3rd place, this was a significant chassis in the Pro car series.

Owning a Type Schrift piece like this in itself is a very special occasion for one. But through Type Schrift, this piece has now been preserved eternally for many. With our high-resolution documentation of this piece now, we hope that even after this artwork is sold, this can act as an Authentic Reference Standard for Motorsport Enthusiasts of the future.
